<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a turning mechanism for a turning member and a turned member, which can prevent the turning member from freely falling down to a turned member side by its own weight, and easily operate to turn the turning member. <P>SOLUTION: The turning mechanism is used for a note-size personal computer having a personal computer body 2 as the turned member and a top cover 3. The turning mechanism is equipped with a first hinge device 21 and a second hinge device 22. The first hinge device 21 is equipped with a friction member to provide frictional resistance to the top cover 3 against its turn relative to the personal computer body 2. The second hinge device 22 is equipped with a torsion coil spring to urge the top cover 3 relative to the personal computer 2 so as to counter the rotation moment acting on the top cover 3 by its own weight when the top cover 3 turns relative to the personal computer body 2. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
