<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high performance and long life dehumidifier which removes organic matter containing a high boiling point organic compound to obtain clean dry air having a low dew point and has heat resistance to sufficiently withstand even high temperature air exceeding 300°C, and also to provide a dehumidifcication method using the dehumidifier. <P>SOLUTION: The dehumidifier supplies air which has a low dew point and from which organic matter is removed, to a target space and is rotatably supported on a holding case. This defumidifier is equipped with a rotor, which is constituted by supporting an adsorbent and of which the rotary region is demarcated into at least an adsorption zone and a regeneration zone by the partition plate attached to the holding case, a route for supplying treated air to the adsorption zone, a route for supplying air treated in the adsorption zone to the target space and a route for supplying regenerating air to the regeneration zone.
