WASTEWATER TREATMENT APPARATUS AND TREATMENT METHOD FOR WASTEWATER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wastewater treatment apparatus comprising an oxygen-free tank and an aeration tank, which removes not only nitrogen and BOD but also phosphorus and reduces the amount of excess sludge to be formed, and a treatment method for wastewater.

SOLUTION: The wastewater treatment apparatus is constituted so as to biologically treat wastewater by circulating sludge between the oxygen-free tank and the aeration tank. When sludge is taken out to the oxygen-free tank from the aeration tank, sludge is taken out from the area under the aerator arranged in the aeration tank at the lowest positionposition. The treatment method for wastewater using this apparatus is also disclosed.
