<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a practical data reduction service to a terminal with a browser belonging to a network charged to volume of data. <P>SOLUTION: In a contents-relaying service apparatus, where Web contents are relayed and transferred by reducing the data volume thereof, the user of the terminal with the browser, who participates in a communication service in the data-volume-charging network linked with the Internet, is managed and registered in a member information database as a member. When performing authentication procedures with the terminal accessing to the database and authenticating that the terminal is one of the member's terminals with the browsers, the Web contents over the Internet, acquired according to specification of the terminal, are processed by a data volume reduction means, and the processed Web contents are delivered to the terminal. Also, data reduction results obtained by the data volume reduction means are recorded, while being associated with the members of the member information database, and the reduction postrecord data for each member, which are recorded on the member information database, are properly edited and outputted. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
