PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a server side processing load following a data requirement from a client in a client/server system.

SOLUTION: A printer 1 broadcasts a GET request by an SNMP to a plurality of other devices at predetermined timing, and it acquires pieces of information regarding a model name, idling rate and stored image files of each device. When there is a request for a Web page from a Web browser 31, a Web server in the printer 1 prepares HTML data dispersedly assigning reference (acquisition) locations of image files displayed in the Web page to the plurality of other printers (printers having the image files) on the basis of the pieces of information acquired by broadcasting, and it sends the HTML data to a client PC 7. The Web browser 31 requests the image files from a plurality of assigned printers on the basis of the HTML data.
