<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure for a drum washing machine in which noise, faults and waste of energy are reduced by improving the structure for the driving part of the drum washing machine to directly transmit driving power of a motor to a drum, and not only washing power is improved but also supporting power is improved by improving the structure for the driving part of the drum washing machine to extend an inter-shaft distance of a bearing. <P>SOLUTION: The drum washing machine is provided with: a tub provided inside of a cabinet; the drum provided inside of the tub; a shaft axially linked to the drum for transmitting the driving power of the motor to the drum; and the bearings provided on outer peripheral surfaces of both ends of the shaft. In the middle of a rear wall portion of the tub, a bearing housing composed of a metal material is provided for supporting the bearings respectively provided on the outer peripheral surfaces of both the ends of the shaft. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
