PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for acquiring an antibody specifically bonding with a scrapie isoform (PrP<SP>Sc</SP>) of naturally occurring prion protein known as an infective pathogen to cause the central nervous system spongy encephalopathy of human and animal and a method to use the antibody for the detection of PrP<SP>Sc</SP>in a specimen.
