<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wireless communication system capable of furthermore suppressing the power consumption of a mobile apparatus at a terminal, a wireless terminal, and a power supply control method therefor. <P>SOLUTION: The wireless terminal connected to a wireless base station through a wireless channel is provided with: a means for checking the presence / no presence of a packet during transmission before start of packet transmission, transmits a packet when no transmitting packet exists, and awaits the transmission of the packet for a prescribed time when the transmitted packet exists; and a means for measuring the prescribed time, and when discriminating the wait of packet transmission, the wireless terminal controls power interruption for the prescribed time. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
