LITHOGRAPHIC PRINTING PLATE AND PLATEMAKING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aluminum printing plate which permits activator processing and a platemaking method. SOLUTION: (1) The lithographic printing plate having physical development nuclei between an anodically oxidized aluminum support subjected to surface roughening and silver halide emulsion layers contains gelatin at≤2 g/m2and a polyhydroxy benzene developing agent at≥1 millimolar per 1 g gelatin on the side having the silver halide emulsion layers. (2) The platemaking method for the lithographic printing plate comprises processing the lithographic printing plate by a developing solution substantially not containing the developing agent, then washing away the silver halide emulsion layers.
