<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate unauthorized utilization in providing performance data from a controller to an electronic musical instrument which are connected with each other via a communication line. <P>SOLUTION: In the electronic musical instrument, control data for controlling an operation of the controller is generated and outputted via the communication line. In the controller, adequecy is determined based on a fact that the control data inputted from the electronic musical instrument within a prescribed time via the communication line is matched with internal data, whether or not the controller is operated is controlled, when the adequecy is determined to exist, the performance data is generated and outputted via the communication line. In the electronic musical instrument, the performance data from the controller is inputted via the communication line and a music generation processing is performed according to the inputted performance data. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
