<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the function of a lighting system by adding another function to the lighting system that is mainly interior lighting such as a table lamp in addition to a lighting function. <P>SOLUTION: The lighting system is equipped with an ion generating portion 7 facing a light source 1 installed on a luminaire main body 2, and the ion generating portion 7 is structured by storing a granular pyroelectric element 8 exposed to radiation light of the light source 1 between a pair of translucent panels 9, 9.
