<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve operability by improving the inconvenience of operation of a camera due to detection of a line of sight not being carried out correctly when another person operates while the camera is set to a line of sight detecting mode. <P>SOLUTION: In the camera, the line of sight detecting mode and a line of sight inhibiting mode are provided. Information concerning the features of a globe image stored during calibration and information of the glove of a photohgraper obtained for the line of sight detecting operation during actual operation of the camera are compared. When the compared images of the gloves are determined to be different, execution of the line of sight detection is stopped for a given time even when the camera is set to the line of sight detecting mode. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
