<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composite auxiliary machine for a vehicle and a control unit thereof for easily controlling the capacity of a compressor. <P>SOLUTION: The composite auxiliary machine for a vehicle includes a compressor 140 for compressing refrigerant, a rotary machine 130 that acts as an electric motor and a generator, and a torque distributing mechanism 150. The torque distributing mechanism 150 distributes torque of a drive shaft 112 rotary-driving by receiving drive power from a vehicle engine 10 to a compressor shaft 142 of the compressor140 and a rotary-machine shaft 132 of a rotary machine 130, and at the same time transmits torque input from the rotary machine shaft 132 to the drive shaft 112 and the compressor shaft 142. An intermittent mechanism 120 is provided to the torque distributing mechanism150 so as to connect and disconnect any two of of the drive shaft 112, the compressor shaft 142, and the rotary machine shaft 132. A locking mechanism 160 is provided for restricting the compressor shaft 142.
