RECEIVER, PRINTER AND FIRMWARE UPDATE SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an update system of a printer firmware requiring no new constitution for an STB.

SOLUTION: The STB 120 is connected with a printer 130, and is provided with a receiving part 121 for externally receiving update data for updating the firmware of the printer and display contents including description of using the update data as a print object, a display data generation part 122 for generating display data for displaying the display contents on a TV 123, a remote control receiving part for acquiring a print command to the display contents, and a printing output part 127 for outputting the update data to the printer 130 as data being the print object when a remote control receiving part 125 receives the print command.
