PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a patient monitoring device capable of efficiently caring for the patient. SOLUTION: A central monitor 14 is provided with a sound synthesizer 18 having a radio communication machine and a sound card (sound synthesizer). When an alarm is made in the central monitor 14, the contents of the alarm are converted into sound inside the sound synthesizer 18 and the alarm contents converted into the sound are transmitted from the radio communication machine inside the sound synthesizer 18 to a PHS 22 serving as a communication terminal in a in-hospital radio communication system 16. As every care worker carries the PHS 22, the alarm contents can be checked instantly, so that there is no necessity of going to the alarm information display installation place such as a nurse station for checking the alarm contents.
