PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a work execution face lining work block capable of connecting a retaining chain embedded in the work execution area and a lining block in an the work execution site and developing a withholding effect by a chain ring of the retaining chain and storing and conveying by separating the retaining chain or puting it in a dumpling shape to store or convey it. SOLUTION: In the work execution face lining block where the retaining means 2 attached to the lining block 1 is embedded in the work execution face lined by the lining blocks 1 and the lining block 1 is anchored in the work execution face, the retaining means 2 embedded in the work execution face is made of a chain 13 and a chain ring 13a at the end of the chain 13 is fixed to a fixing element 12a provided in the lining block 1 to connect the lining block 1 and the chain 13 as the retaining means 2, and the chain 13 is extended to the rear side of the lining block 1 to embed into the work execution face.
