<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reflection type display device with increased optical throughput, using a photonic crystal having a simple structure requiring no reflection plate. <P>SOLUTION: This reflection type display device is equipped with plural color filters 21R, 21G and 21B for reflecting incident light of predetermined range of wavelength of visible ray, and optical switches 22R, 22G and 22B correspondingly provided to the respective color filters 21 and outputting desired color by adjusting incident light intensity to the corresponding color filters and light intensity reflected therefrom. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
