PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To utilize E-mail functionality by simple operation, and check easily the state of registration of information in an E-mail device. SOLUTION: In a telephony charging apparatus, a terminal unit 300 having a plurality of keys for functional setting (address designation keys 310 312 at registration, a mail operation key 314, a recording key 320 and the like) and a telephone line are stored and a mail device 200 for recording audio information is equipped. These keys are made to set the operational function of the mail device 200. Then, according to operations of the keys for functional setting of the mail device 200, the mail device 200 is operated.
