PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify remote management of a plurality of terminals, image forming apparatuses, for example, by using technology using electronic mail. SOLUTION: An electronic mail system is provided with the Internet 30, the plurality of terminals 10 connected to the Internet 30, and a portable terminal 22. Each terminal is provided with a self-electronic mail address and terminal identification data for specifying the self-terminal, and it is provided with a CPU 14 as an electronic mail processing means giving terminal identification data corresponding to the terminal being a transmission source to a region of the electronic mail when the electronic mail is transmitted from the respective terminals.
