COATED PAPER FOR PRINTING

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide coated paper for printing having opacity suitable for practical use though the paper is lightweight, having a relatively good ink-attaching property and high printing gloss, especially free from occurrence of cutting of paper when rotary offset printing is carried out and excellent in printability. SOLUTION: The coated paper for printing is obtained by providing a coated layer containing a pigment and an adhesive on a base paper. In the coated paper for printing, the pigment has particle diameter distribution in which pigment particles of the coated layer are contained in an amount of≥65% within the range of 0.4-4.2μm based on volume and a basis weight of the coated paper is≤50 g/m2and tensile strength is≥200 kN/m and≤400 kN/m.
