PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for distributing and housing a sheet for stapling on a plurality of parts of a recording sheet bundle capable of dividing a bin tray for housing the recording sheet bundle into one for completed stapling and one for no stapling at all. SOLUTION: This device is provided with a remaining staple number detecting means for detecting that a staple 6 of a stapling means 3 reaches a predetermined remaining number, a processing number storing means 8 for storing the stapling processing number n which were already conducted, and an operating means 9 for operating the number N of processable bin trays, wherein all stapling processing to one recording sheet 1 can be completed, from the detected remaining number of the staples 6 and the stapling processing number n by that time. The device is further provided with a control means 10 for comparing the number N of the processable bin trays and the number of the bin trays 2 to which the stapling processing was already conducted and restricting the number of the bin trays to which a series of the stapling processing is conducted on the basis of these numbers.
