PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elevator device capable of installing a hoist on a pit without pull-out force acting on floor surface of the pit. SOLUTION: The pit 1a of a hoistway 1 is provided with a rail support beam 21. A pair of car guide rails 2 for guiding ascending and descending of the cargo is provided on the rail support beam 21. A pair of weight guide rails 3 for guiding ascending and descending of the balance weight is provided on the rail support beam 21, too. Upward force acting on a hoist support stand 25 from the hoist 8 is received at the rail support beam 21 supporting the guide rails 2 and 3, and the upward force transmitted to the rail support beam 21 is canceled by downward force acting on the guide rails 2 and 3.
