<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving gear which suppresses luminance reduction caused by characteristic change like degradation of a spontaneous light emission element. <P>SOLUTION: The driving gear has a semiconductor element which has electric characteristics approximately equal to those of the spontaneous light emission element, and drives the semiconductor element in accordance with a frequency in light emission of the spontaneous light emission element, thus the characteristic change of the semiconductor element is detected to generate a characteristic change detection signal, and a driving signal having a current or voltage level corresponding to the characteristic change detection signal is supplied to the spontaneous light emission element. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
