<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a handwritten character font generation system using GA. <P>SOLUTION: The character font generation system which generates and outputs a handwritten character font from a character pattern inputted by handwriting is provided with handwritten character input means 51 and 52, a pattern conversion means 57 which converts an inputted handwritten character to a character pattern and outputs it, a character recognition means which recognizes the character pattern to output a pertinent character code, a vector conversion means 56 which converts a handwritten character to vector information including features of a pertinent character and outputs it, a vector information storage means 59 which stores vector information as a coordinate point font of the handwritten character, a GA arithmetic processing means 2 which reads the coordinate point font in the vector information storage means and arithmetically generates a curve font based on an interpolation curve function by a genetic algorithm GA, and a handwritten font storage means 3 which stores the curve font. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
