PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To calculate a recording rate for each recording medium, and to record it on a recording medium with timer recording-reserved information taken into consideration. SOLUTION: The total sum of recording reservation time is calculated for each recording medium from information for making timer recording reservation. Then, a recording rate at the time of executing timer recording is calculated for each recording medium from the calculated value and the recording capacity of the recording medium. The timer recording-reserved program is recorded in the recording medium based on the recording rate.
