PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video image recording apparatus with a title automatic inserting function capable of automatically inserting information associated with dates as a title according to photographing conditions. SOLUTION: This video image recording apparatus is provided with a time measuring means, a means for detecting the change of arbitrary date information, a means for generating characters such as arbitrary characters or symbols, a means for recording those generated characters as a video image in a recording medium in accordance with the detected change of the date information, a means for recording or photographing the arbitrary video image.
