PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polysaccharide complex useful in various fields such as a medicinal, food, cosmetic field, etc., having a high biocomaptibility and a good processing adoptability, a method for producing the same easily and at a low cost by a simple purification process, also a polysaccharide complex obtained by using an oxidized polysaccharides with chitosan, having a uniform structure and capable of controlling carboxyl group and amino group for forming an ion complex, and a method for producing the same. SOLUTION: This polysaccharide complex is obtained by neutralizing an aqueous solution obtained by dissolving the oxidized polysaccharides introduced with at least carboxyl group or its salt into the 6-position of pyranose ring of the polysaccharide and chitosan for forming the ion complex to make it insoluble to water, and the method for producing the same is also provided.
