Freshness-maintenance of cut flowers e.g. roses, involves packaging flowers with material having preset water vapor permeability to absorb water

Freshness of cut flower is maintained by storing cut flower in water absorbing state, and packaging with material having water vapor/moisture permeability of 0.001-4 g/m2>/day, at 37.7[deg]C, 90% relative humidity, and/or allowing cut flowers to absorb water (liquid having osmotic pressure of 0.5-1.5 MPa adjusted by osmotic pressure regulator). The water absorption rate per cut flower is 1.5 g/day. An independent claim is also included for packaged cut flower.
