摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal device substrate in which brightness of display is increased when the display is observed from a desired direction by preventing reflected light beams to be spread into an unnecessary viewing angle direction and by increasing the light quantity of the reflected light beams being spread toward the desired viewing direction. <P>SOLUTION: Among a pair of substrates which hold liquid crystals, a liquid crystal device substrate 2a is located on the opposite side of an observation side. Pixel electrodes 9 are formed on the surface of a base material 6a as optically reflective films. A pattern, in which a plurality of mountain sections 10c is arranged side by side, is formed on the surface of the optically reflective films 9. These sections 10c are formed into elongated circular dome shapes in which solid shapes along one axis line of the orthogonal two axis lines X and Y that go through the sections and solid shapes along the other axis line are mutually made different.
