<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a filter for video display equipment having improved contrast and color reproducibility. <P>SOLUTION: The filter for the video display equipment contains a compound (1) (where, R<SP>1</SP>to R<SP>4</SP>denote hydrogen, alkyl, alkenyl, alkoxy carbonyl, and phenyl; R<SP>5</SP>to R<SP>6</SP>denote aliphatic hydrocarbons or can form a morpholine ring together with the nitrogen to which these bond; X<SP>1</SP>to X<SP>2</SP>denote hydrogen, halogen, hydroxyl, ureide, alkyl, alkoxy, phenyl carbonyl amino, alkyl carbonyl amino, phenyl sulfonyl amino, and alkyl sulfonyl amino; Y<SP>1</SP>to Y<SP>2</SP>denote hydrogen, alkyl, and alkoxy, provided that Y<SP>1</SP>or Y<SP>2</SP>and R<SP>5</SP>or R<SP>6</SP>can bond together and can form heterocyclic radicals respectively together with part of adjacent benzene rings and nitrogen atoms). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
