<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To positively detect overloading at low cost in a rail lorry. <P>SOLUTION: This rail lorry comprises a tractor mounted on or suspended from a single or dual rail to self-advance, and a load carrying vehicle for loading, connected to the tractor by a coupler and pulled.
