PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To record by multi dots, smooth images with no granularity, unevenness and streaks from a highlight to a high density part while a high resolution based on a minimum dot is maintained. SOLUTION: In carrying out multi dot recording, binarization is carried out with the resolution based on the minimum dot, a dot gathering point where n dots each having a first size gather is extracted, and the extracted dot gathering point is converted to a dot of a second size larger than the first size.
