INK TANK AND METHOD FOR JUDGING INK TANK

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect erroneous setting (erroneous insertion) of a tank in a printer of independent color tank. SOLUTION: A plurality of prisms for detecting the remainder at the bottom part of the raw chamber of a semiraw tank are provided. Installing position of the prism is differentiated depending on the type of the tank. Presence of the prism at each part is detected by a sensor for detecting the remainder and the type of the tank is judged. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
