PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data transfer program capable of efficiently and positively transferring data. SOLUTION: When transmitting data to a receiver, a data source retrieves a transmitting method corresponding to the receiver from a storage (S103). When the data is transmitted to the receiver, a transmission result including a transmission condition and capability of the receiver is acquired from the receiver (S109). If there is an error in data transmission (error in S109), communication capability and throughput of the receiver are read from the transmission result (S111), and the data is retransmitted to the receiver by the transmitting method appropriate to the receiver (S113).
