PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a superconductive cable shortening a manufacturing period and reducing a manufacturing cost by omitting vacuum dry processing of an insulating layer during cable manufacturing. SOLUTION: The superconductive cable is provided with a cable core 101 having the insulating layer 109 on a superconductor 108. The insulating layer 109 is structured by winding a tape shaped insulating material using insulating paper on the superconductors. At that time, the insulating material using the insulating paper having not more than 20wt.% of water content is used. The water content of the insulating paper used for the tape shaped insulating material structuring the insulating layer is made to be not more than 20wt.%, so that the electrical property of the cable is not affected, and vacuum dry processing at the time of manufacturing an OF cable or the like can be omitted.
