PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To acquire an image of proper exposure after the change of a driving speed, in an imaging apparatrus capable of changing the driving speed of an imaging device. SOLUTION: When the driving speed of an imaging device in still image photographing is changed low relative to the driving speed of an imaging device in imaging for an electronic viewfinder display, a proper electronic shutter value (Sx) is inferred and set on the basis of the ratio between the driving speed of the electronic shutter value (Sf) of the imaging device before changed and the driving speed of the imaging device before/after changed.
