PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly practical chuck which prevents catching and breaking of an engaged part by reducing the friction resistance without using a lubricating oil in the engaged part, and thereby improving the tool clamping force by a clamper. SOLUTION: A tool 5 is mounted on a tool holder 1. In the chuck device, the tool 5 is clamped by expanding/contracting the clamper 4 mounted inside the tool holder 1 with the rotation of a tightener 2 engaged with the tool holder 1. A coating with the friction coefficient as small as possible is applied to the engaged part of the tightener 2 with the tool holder 1. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
