PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vibration absorbing base capable of protecting devices from vibration having small amplitude and preventing it from falling down due to excessive moving of the devices while ensuring safety and vibration absorption property of the devices. SOLUTION: A plurality of balls 8 held by a retainer 6 are arranged between upper and lower bases 2 and 3. A laminated elastic body 9 giving resistance to their relative movement is fixed to the upper and lower bases 2, 3. A baseboard 17 provided with a flange 17a is fixed on the lower base 3, and a coping 12 surrounding the flange 17a of the baseboard 17 is provided on the upper base 2. Stroke of the upper and lower bases 2, 3 is regulated by the coping 12 and the baseboard 17. Moreover, it is possible to lift the vibration absorbing base 1 by applying a hand to the coping 12.
