PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compound having excellent harmful organism-controlling effectiveness. SOLUTION: The cyclopropanecarboxylic acid ester compound represented by formula (1) has excellent harmful organism-controlling effectiveness. A harmful organism controlling agent containing the cyclopropanecarboxylic acid ester compound represented by formula (1) as an active ingredient is effective in controlling harmful organisms. Harmful organisms can effectively be controlled by applying the effective amount of the cyclopropanecarboxylic acid ester compound represented by formula (1) to these harmful organisms or biotopes of these harmful organisms.
