PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such a problem that when chemically strengthening a glass in such a state that particles containing a metal such as iron adhere to the surface of the glass, the particle is stuck thereon to make it hard to remove and thus, a clean glass surface can not be obtained. SOLUTION: There is provided a production method for a chemically strengthened glass in which an oxidation treatment is applied to the metal-containing particle adhered to the glass surface as a preceding process and thereafter, the glass is chemically strengthened.
