The invention relates to a steering wheel comprising a padding (24), a grip surface (27) which at least partly covers said padding (24), and a heating element (4) which is disposed between the padding (24) and the grip surface (27) and is provided with an electrically conductive layer (41) having a meander-shaped contour along a longitudinal direction of the heating element (4). The inventive heating element (4) is cut to length from a continuous section. The vertex sectors (45) of the electrically conductive layer are larger than the joining sectors (48).
