In a duplicate bus-bar switchgear the two sets of bus-bars are arranged respectively in two parallel planes which meet in a line parallel to the bus-bars. Each set of bus-bars 11, 12, 13 and 17, 18, 19 are mounted on insulators 14, 15, 16 and 20, 21, 22 on metal screens 23, 24 which alternate with openings accommodating branch bars 45, 46, 47 and 42, 43, 44 either of which may be coupled to a circuit-breaker 26 and branch conductors 25 by means of isolating switches A, B. An interlock device prevents closure of one isolating switch while the other is closed. |
