<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an outboard motor to improve the effect of a sacrificial anode and facilitate inspection and replacement of the sacrificial anode. <P>SOLUTION: In the outboard motor constituted that an engine having a cylinder head 14 and a cylinder block 15 is situated above an engine holder and oil pan is situated below the engine holder, an exhaust passage 24 through which an exhaust port 22 formed in the cylinder head 14 and an exhaust gas discharge path formed in the engine holder are interconnected is formed in the cylinder block 15. Water jackets 25 and 28 for cooling communicated with the surroundings of the exhaust port 24 and the exhaust passage 24, respectively. The water jackets 25 and 28 are connected to a cooling water passage in the engine holder, and a mounting hole 31 of the sacrificial anode 30 is formed in the water jackets 25 and 28. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
