<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To disclose an apparatus for retransmitting data by using hybrid automatic retransmission request (HARQ) in a mobile communication system. <P>SOLUTION: A radio network controller (RNC) determines maximum waiting time for retransmitting data. A base station receives the maximum waiting time and after the data are transmitted to a user terminal, when a retransmission request of the data is sensed from the user terminal, the data are retransmitted. At the same time, the maximum waiting time is set and afterwards, when it exceeds the maximum waiting time and a secondary retransmission request of the data caused by abnormal receiving of the retransmitted data is sensed from the user terminal, the retransmission of the data is inhibited. The user terminal receives the maximum waiting time and when an error exists in the data received from the base station, the retransmission request of the data is transmitted to the base station. At the same time, the maximum waiting time is set and receiving of the data based on the retransmission request is waited just for the maximum waiting time. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
