<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operation device for a front hood capable of moving its structure from an original position to a protecting position, lifting up to protect a pedestrian, and to provide a method for operating this type of a front hood structure which is easily moved and reset and easily used by a driver. <P>SOLUTION: The operation device for a front hood has a first reversible actuator and a partly reversible actuator for at least one additional part. This method of operating the front hood structure reversibly moves the structure to the protecting position as soon as it detects a possible collision, and when it detects an actual collision, a partly reversible movement is generated. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
