PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide magnesium omeprazole a methanol level of which is at a low permissible level, but which contains a large ratio of amorphous part or is preferably substantially amorphous and is prepared by a simple method, and also a magnesium salt of an enantiomer of omeprazole. SOLUTION: This method for preparing the magnesium salt of the enantiomer of omeprazole comprises (i) a process of forming a magnesium alkoxide by performing the reaction of magnesium with a lower alcohol in a solution using the lower alcohol as a solvent, (ii) a process of adding the enantiomer of omeprazole of a neutral form into the solution and (iii) a process of flash evaporating the solvent.
