<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing an electrode for a battery, which eliminates internal short-circuiting of the battery and prevents preservation performance and a charge-discharge cycle lifetime from lowering by preventing needle-like burrs and sharp cut chips at the time of cutting, the falling-off of the active material, and the like from generating. <P>SOLUTION: The method comprises a process (1) for impregnating the predetermined cutting part and the peripheral part of a substrate with a liquid containing a resin component at a step before cutting an electrode sheet, or comprises the process (1) and a process for pressurizing the predetermined cutting part and the peripheral part of the substrate to compress and deform them. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
