PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a commutator change-over switch provided with carbon guides which saves a structural space and comprises a less number of parts. SOLUTION: The freely turnable commutator change-over switch 1 has the carbon guides 2 and two stator contacts 3a and 3b. Each of the stator contacts 3a and 3b is in contact with at least one of contact portions 4a, 4b, and 4c which are extended over part of contact rails 5a and 5b. The contact rails 5a and 5b are connected so that they are provided with continuity to the two carbon guides 2 opposed to each other in the direction of diameter. One 5a of the contact rails is extended over at least a half of the circumference, and has two contact portions 4a and 4b. The stator contacts 3a and 3b are so disposed that their state is changed and they are placed in a state that they are in contact with at least one of the freely turnable contact portions 4a, 4b, and 4c in either of the contact rails 5a and 5b each extended in the circumferential direction.
