PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cyan coupler having good solubility in an oil forming agent while retaining the advantages of a cyan coupler of prior technique. SOLUTION: The color photographic printing material has at least one blue-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer containing at least one yellow coupler, wherein a cyan coupler is represented by formula 1 (where R<SP>1</SP>is H or alkyl; R<SP>2</SP>is OR<SP>3</SP>or NR<SP>4</SP>R<SP>5</SP>; R<SP>3</SP>is a 1-6C optionally substituted alkyl; R<SP>4</SP>is a 1-6C optionally substituted alkyl; R<SP>5</SP>is H or a 1-6C optionally substituted alkyl; R<SP>6</SP>is an optionally substituted alkyl; and Z is H or a group which can be removed under color development conditions) and the total number of C atoms of the alkyl groups R<SP>3</SP>-R<SP>6</SP>in one molecule of the coupler is 8-18.
