PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic flaw detection inspecting method for a tube capable of being applied also to flaw detection of hidden part in a simple means and capable of inspecting whole circumference easily by making a search unit scanning in the peripheral direction of the tube. SOLUTION: The device detects a reflecting wave from a flaw 16 existing in the tube 12 using an ultrasonic search unit 11 by contacting the ultrasonic search unit 11 capable of oscillating an SH wave, that is a ultrasonic wave, on the outer circumferential surface 13 of the tube 12 to inject the SH wave 15 to the tube 12, Since the SH wave 15 used for the flaw detection inspecting is propagated at a homogeneous sound pressure distribution around whole circumference of the tube 12 for a search unit distance L1 from the injection position 14 to the tube 12 exceeding about 600mm, the device can perform flaw detection inspection of whole circumference of the tube 12 without scanning the supersonic search unit 11 along the peripheral direction of the tube 12.
